PluralSight for SCM

Introduction

PluralSight provides online training courses. Their creative professional courses include trainings for learning animation software and Adobe software.

SCM animation course and project students are given the priority to use the PluralSight account.

Application Period

13 Jan 2025 - 12 Feb 2025.

Application Procedures

Students are required to email smpluralsight@cityu.edu.hk using their CityU email accounts. The subject should be "Application for a PluralSight Account". They should provide below information in the email:

EID, First name and Last name

Course code, Course name, Teacher name for one of the animation course they are taking.

Note: Applications submitted with non-CityU Email accounts or submitted outside the application period will be invalid.

Pluralsight account usage period and idle account removal

All accounts are valid for one semester. The account will be removed one week before the next semester starts. New application is required when the new semester starts.

The account application will stop when the quota of 40 users is used up. Unsuccessful and further new applicants will be put in the waiting list.

Since the number of subscriptions is limited, any idle accounts for 28 days will be removed without prior notice. Released accounts will be assigned to the waiting list at once.

How to access

Students will receive emails from PluralSight if their applications are accepted. They should click the "Accept Invite" button in the email to proceed. Otherwise, the PluralSight license will be removed after 15 days.

Students can sign in http://www.pluralsight.com/ for accessing the training videos. Please select "sign in with SKILLS" for the sign in type.

LinkedIn Learning - a similar online video training library

City University provides a similar online video training library called LinkedIn Learning. You can click on below link and login with your City University EID and Active Directory (AD) password to access.
