Welcome to the West One Music Library!     This music library is available for use in all productions made by Students and Teachers of the School of Creative Media, City University Hong Kong.

New music is released each month and stems are available upon request.

Under the license held by the school, music is cleared for worldwide, all media, in perpetuity for the purposes of education, classroom use or promotion of the Department. This includes Film Festivals where SCM is the entrant, internal productions and social media accounts held by the school.

To comply with our agreement with Blonde Media Music on using the West One Music Library, your attention on the following is required,

1. All music in this library are for non profit-making educational purposes only.
   
2. All music in this library are NOT royalty free.
   
3. Redistribution of music is NOT allowed.
   
4. Registration is required:
   

   Registration

   1. You must come to SCM labs in person to do the registration on West One Music Library website
   2. Click the check-box below for accepting the Terms & Conditions and click the button "Goto West One Music Library"
   3. Click "Account" on the top right corner and then "Register", and complete the registration using your CityU email address (i.e. <eid>@my.cityu.edu.hk or <eid>@cityu.edu.hk)
   4. If the registration is successful, you will receive the Account Approval email from West One)
   5. Please wait 15 minutes before the new account to take effect for you to login and download music

   Music Download

   1. After the registration, go to one of computers in SCM labs and offices, and visit this page https://it.scm.cityu.edu.hk/musiclib again. Go to and login West One Music Library.
   2. Select the songs and download them (you will be shown the three options of formats: WAVE, AIFF & MP3)
5. Please consult your teacher(s) and Blonde Media Music (contact: blondemediamusic@gmail.com) if you need to use the music for social media, competitions, exhibitions and activities other than homeworks.
6. Please acknowledge the West One Terms & Conditions before you proceed to use the West One Music Library.
